What was the highlight of Hotel Leon d'Oro Verona
Good
The staff in the bar were very helpful. My husband hurt his knee so required ice. Not only provided ice three times a day but concerned about his welfare. The location was good for the train station although it would help to have better directions on their website, not everyone has a working phone after a long journey.
Lack of internet. When we asked at reception they firstly said it was slow and then said it didnt work in the old building. It did work sporadically in the bedrooms but was very slow and it was difficult to download anything. You would expect better from what was designated a 4* hotel in 2024. We had a first floor room facing the road, the traffic wasnt too much of a problem when you got used to it but the water rushing outside was a problem at night if you had the window open. It was a constant noise.

Marbled delight with a traditional feel
Gorgeous central areas - decorated in marble. Sumptuous decor. Bathroom marble fittings good, room size good. Staff very helpful.
Location 150 m from station nut no one should ever try to walk it as they’ll kill the selves trying to cross the busy freeway. The council should build an overpass. It’s a no brainer. Taxi costs to and from the hotel are reasonable but it’s a shame they are necessary due to a lack of local infrastructure. Pollution and noise from the road are high on one side if you like a window opening. The wifi was terrible and there were no English speaking channels operating which is very frustrating.

it's an old hotel with classic decoration and atmosphere.
outdated decor, bathroom. Reception staff need to be more friendly and put a simle on their face.

Good convinient location , nice atmosphere , excellent for short city stay .
Location Decoration although a little bit old-fashioned but very pleasant , sound of the water canal flow next to the windows !
Breakfast was average , coffee quality was terrible , some fruit on display were off.. The room stung of cigarets.. had to change rooms after a long drive ! Staff seemed floating except the more mature lady who was eager to resolve problems for guests
